About the app Apnea Tables

Using this app you can achieve excellent results in breath holding for four or five minutes.

Apnea Tables — this is the app for the training of the breath holding in static air (static apnea) for spearfishers and freedivers.

The app will work automatically. In order to individualize a training you first need to make an attempt with the maximum breath holding. To start take 3-4 warm-up attempts (about half the time of your maximum score). Then hold your breath maximally and save the result of your maximum breath holding. On the basis of this maximum breath holding training tables will be automatically calculated (table CO2 and table O2).

About the tables СO2 and O2

There are 2 basic tables. The table CO2 helps to accustom the brain to the high level of CO2. The table O2 helps to accustom the brain to the lower level of O2.

The table CO2 is a series of static breath holdings with the decrease of the rest time at a constant breath holding time.

The table O2 is a series of static breath holdings with the increase of breath holding time at a constant rest time.

The table CO2 is for beginners, the table O2 is for trained people.

Health safety

ATTENTION!

The breath holding exercises can be dangerous to your health. Not the right breath holding exercises can lead to unconsciousness and death.

Consult your doctor on contraindications before you start to train. Anyone who is training his apnea should regularly undergo a medical examination paying a special attention to the cardiovascular system and respiratory disorders.

You train at your own risk. Train under the supervision of an experienced coach or partner.

IMMEDIATELY stop breathing exercises if you feel unwell during the training.

Dynamic apnea is FORBIDDEN and physical activity is NOT RECOMMENDED for several hours after the training.

The training on different tables is NOT RECOMMENDED during the same day. This is an excessive load because an organism needs a recovery period to get back to normal.

It is FORBIDDEN to make a few of maximum breath holdings in sequence as this may lead to loss of consciousness.

The app is NOT DESIGNED for the training of the underage children.

The app is NOT DESIGNED for the training in the water.

Recommendations

Before training lower your face in a cold water for approximately 15 seconds. Do not wipe it. This will trigger your diving reflex of mammals. You can wear a mask to make the conditions as close to real.

It is recommended to do breath holding exercises on an empty stomach, not earlier than 4 hours after the last meal.

Sit back. Switch off your phone, turn off the TV, computer and other devices that may hinder you. Ask your relatives not to disturb you until the end of the training.

Before the training relax your muscles, breathe deeply and calmly during a few minutes. Try to feel the warmth and the heaviness in the body. Relax, do not think about anything. Focus on the rhythm of your breath.
